OUR STORY
Founded in Los Angeles in 2019, SWON grew from an independent livestream into a media company built around original voices and direct audience connection.
STAY WOKE OR NOT / NETWORK MANIFESTO
Founded in Los Angeles in 2019, Stay Woke Or Not is an independent livestream media company creating original programming where music, technology, mental wellness and culture meet.
Each live conversation becomes more than a broadcast. It can become a replay, podcast, short-form story, community discussion or brand collaboration that carries the idea further.
OUR PURPOSE
We start with live conversation, then shape the strongest moments into podcasts, clips, written stories, campaigns and experiences people can return to.
The network is built for culturally curious people and for the artists, founders, experts and partners ready to say something honest.
02 / WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
Founded in Los Angeles in 2019, SWON grew from an independent livestream into a media company built around original voices and direct audience connection.
Music Monday goes beyond the single. Tech Tuesday follows the builders shaping what comes next. Woke Wellness Wednesday makes room for honest conversations about healing and life.
YouTube is where audiences watch, Discord is where they gather, and every episode creates a path for guests, partners and supporters to take part.
We are building sustainable original programming, audio editions, live experiences and limited collaborations without giving up the independence that made SWON matter.
03 / LEADERSHIP
SWON is run by a small independent team that combines performance, production, business and community building. Dahlia leads the vision and conversations, Alec shapes the editorial and broadcast experience, and Kadeem carries the work into the culture around each show.

FOUNDER, HOST & CEO OF STAY WOKE OR NOT
Dahlia Turnbull is the founder, host and CEO of Stay Woke Or Not, also known as SWON. What started as a livestream in 2019 has grown into a media company and a home for honest conversations about music, technology, wellness and culture.
Before SWON, Dahlia built a career across acting, music and comedy. She trained on stages from London to Los Angeles and became a SAG-AFTRA actress known for her characters, accents and impersonations. That range now shapes the personality behind Music Monday, Tech Tuesday and Woke Wellness Wednesday.
Dahlia also knows what it takes to build a business. Before putting her full focus into media, she worked in technology and marketing and became one of Microsoft's top performing sales leaders in Oregon. She brings that same drive to every part of SWON, from hosting and production to partnerships, merchandise and the community around the shows.
Today, Dahlia connects with nearly 101K followers as @whoisdahlia__. She continues using her platform to make room for artists, founders, creators and people with something real to say.
⚡ “Every artist has a story bigger than their last release. I built this show because someone needed to ask.”

Alec Raebel doesn't just sit behind a microphone. He engineers the moment. As co-host, audio productionist, writer, voice artist and creative strategist for Stay Woke or Not, Alec fuses psychology, storytelling, sound and raw human conversation into content people don't just consume. They feel it.
Before SWON, Alec founded Hope for Today's Tomorrow Ministry and created H4TT the Podcast, producing multiple series built around purpose, personal growth, faith, suffering, leadership and the questions people are usually afraid to ask out loud. He's worked both sides of the mic through podcast management, content writing, production design, audio editing and voice work for Rebel Girl Marketing, shaping the message and building the final product. H4TT the Podcast is still publicly listed under his name with more than 30 episodes, and he's publicly credited as co-host and contributor across SWON programming.
Outside media, Alec has built a career in sales, leadership, team development and business operations. As an Assistant General Manager in the fitness industry, he's led staff, coached sales performance, run outreach campaigns, built training systems and, most useful behind a mic, learned how to find the real story underneath what someone says first.
That's what makes him dangerous, in the best way. He knows how tone changes meaning, how silence creates tension, how one right question dismantles a rehearsed answer and how pacing, editing and delivery shape what an audience believes and feels. His range covers hosting, audio production, voice artistry, interviewing, creative direction, copywriting, social strategy, sales psychology and long-form storytelling.
At SWON, Alec is the bridge between the analytical and the emotional, turning hard conversations about mental health, identity, relationships, culture and modern life into something honest, entertaining, uncomfortable and impossible to ignore.
His value isn't that he can help make a show. It's that he knows how to make a conversation you carry with you after the show ends.
“Let nothing get in the way of you and success. You are only in competition of who you were yesterday.”
